Appliances, Plumbing & Electrics in Luton

Kitchen plumbing, electrics and appliance installation in Luton. Sockets, extractors, sinks and integrated appliances connected properly and certified.

The part of a Luton kitchen nobody photographs is the part that generates the callbacks. Waste runs, isolation valves and whether an integrated appliance can ever be pulled out again are decided while the units are going in, and they are almost impossible to put right afterwards without taking the kitchen apart.

What's involved

Appliances, Plumbing & Electrics in Luton, done properly

Sockets planned, not improvised

Where the kettle actually goes, not where the old ones were. Added and certified properly.

Integrated appliances

Fitted so they can be pulled out and serviced without dismantling the run. A large number of the integrated appliances we are called to were installed in a way that makes replacing them a joinery job.

Certified and recorded

Electrical work tested and certified, gas work carried out by a registered engineer. In Luton, with a lot of rented and recently sold stock, that paperwork gets asked for more often than people expect.

Certified work

Electrical work notified and certificated. You will want that paperwork when you sell.

Good to know

Appliances, Plumbing & Electrics — your questions

Can the sink and the washing machine be moved?

Usually, and it is far cheaper to decide it now than later. Moving a sink means a new waste run at the right fall, so the distance to the soil stack is what governs it. In most Luton semis there is a workable route; where there is not, we will tell you before the design is signed off.

Does the extractor have to go outside?

It does not have to, but it should. A recirculating hood returns filtered air to the room, so the smells stay with you. If an outside wall is reachable, use it.

Will I get certificates for the electrics?

Yes. Kitchen electrical work is notifiable and you get the certificate. It matters more than people think — a buyer’s solicitor will ask for it.
